so i think i should do it too.


first and foremost, thanks again hafiz!

anw, suriyati (hah! the fullname again) couldnt make it for the parade.
love u babe. keep that head high. (: (:

so i met bessie thum at marina bay to catch the shuttle service.
wahh. there were so many uniformed guys. pardon my mentel-ness, but they were cute la!
anyway... there was some kind of fiesta outside the stadium, that excited me so much. (this info is missing in nizar's entry, coz he was more excited to go into the stadium b4 anybody else)
anyway, there were clowns, jugglers,mascots, balloon sculpturers (?) and those on sticks.





the 'lion head'. anyway, the girl beneath/inside that head was a funkay babe.

after getting a free flower sculpted balloon, we decided to the stadium. weee. the funpack looks like a lappiebag and it was so heavy. i swear i thot they generously chucked in a laptop into tt bag.hah!

anw, the pre-parade was quite a bore. however, i decided to motivate myself in the absence of the motivators. haha. but like nizar, i like the segment when the red lions skydived.
wow! and they had to land on a tiny target pad. all 3 of them were brilliant.
that was followed by formations in the sky by the other red lions. cool i tell you.

the next exciting performance was by deyi sec sch band.
i was so impressed with their swift movements that i think i kinda missed the 'symphonic pieces'.

then came the parade! bessie and i must haf screamed 'hafiiizzz' a little too loud, coz a few mats/pakciks, who can pass of as a hafiz turned ard and stared at us. what? haha. anw, i felt so full of pride, that i had someone i know, in the contingents. steady ah hafiz. he said ,"no wonder i heard someone terpekik terlolong cam org giler". haha.
then the apache helis n a chinook flew past with the flag. i wanted to take pictures badly.
i've nvr seen s'pore apache u see. i was jakunsified. but then, the national anthem, JUST HAD TO PLAY ITSELF. so i had my hands on my sides.

next, the f16s showed off itself. ok, or rather, rsaf showed off their f16s. i think its abt time that they shd spin those jets 360deg. hover hover je. boring. (wait, maybe the spun, but i didnt notice)..

i must say that the aerial display was a little anti-climax. i cant believe the apache just flew across the stadium. haha. so much for the EXCITING AERIAL DISPLAY.

well thats it. the rest were ZzzzZzzzzZzz performances. haha. i agree with nizar. "since the first time i watched it on tv till tdy i still think its nonsense"


then there were the fireworks. cool. i like that. (:
