raya? why come so fast?????!


anw, i got this email just now:

ASSALAMUALAIKUM SEMUA :)
DAH JANGAN FIKIR-FIKIR LAGI, THIS WEDNESDAY SEMUA ORANG PAKAI BAJU KURUNG PERGI SEKOLAH.
PAKAI BAJU KURUNG OR TAKNAK GENG. SEMUA ORANG MESTI CONFIRM LAWA/HENSEM PUNYA. KITA AMBIL GAMBAR RAMAI-RAMAI. NAK BAWA KUIH, KETUPAT,LAUK-PAUK, BUNGA API, MERCUN (OK MERCUN JANGAN BAWA, KITA BUKAN KAT JB) SUKA HATI BAWALAH. TAPI BAJU KURUNG JANGAN LUPA.
Actually kan, baju kurung is meant for girls only. Guys wear baju melayu, not baju kurung. That's the correct usage, according to Warna. Only that in Singapore, we use the two terms so often they somehow become confused and became interchangeable. But in Malaysia, they still use baju melayu. Hahaha I bet not all of you know this.

I bet some of you had already made plans for this already. Just to let everyone join in on the fun too. Hope you all don't get so much Hari Raya First Day Hangover on the lontong and ketupat and rendang and lodeh such that you can't even wake up on Wednesday, what more go to school!

i wasnt supposed to get this email.
but haha. now tt i got it, i might as well wear baju kurung on wed.
plus im gg raya after tt.
siiiian. im not excited abt it at all.

i haven been doing well with my essays. i haf organic chem to study. god knows how many million chapters i have to study for that. maybe im partially dead. but giving up is not in my vocabulary. (cedebahhh)

anw, i haf lecture at 8: check out the time (points to the bottom of the entry). as u can see,
i haf declared today a PUBLIC HOLIDAY!!


i bloghopped and realised how different (and tremendously difficult) raya is for some ppl.. made me realise how foolish and selfish of me to complain abt life just because i haf test and essays to write! and because of my excessive-forever-postponed assignments, i complain tt raya wont be fun this yr and i get angry at my bros for making our family a less wonderful one. what were u thinking ain?
some ppl have to face worse.
they sit at the dining table only to see no food on the table.
or they have to go thru raya with the car half-full, cos the mum and the lil bros will no longer be there.
or, they dont even get to see their mum and dad, whatmore kiss and hold them tight on the morning of raya.
i should be thankful and stop complaining.
seriously, im thankful that there are strong ppl out there who blog abt their tough fight. u read those and im sure u'll be moved.
