anw, i was watchin the biochem webcast and one thing prof swami said made me laugh. bout the gene therapy part. haha. its like u take a protein u lack in ur body frm somewher n intro it into a vector, then u inject the vector to specific location in ur body. so the protein he was talking abt is factor 8. its a protein to clot blood when the vessels r injured. then he said, its important to inject at the right place. sekali u ter-inject at the brain, ur brain got blood coagulation. then boleh kena stroke.. joker seh.

i had a nice destress session last night. haha. vivocity has much more to offer than topshop and forever 21. ther r cute hamsters (really cute!!), colourful fishes n drama.go figure! (:

tho we communicate by phone, it always feel better to be there physically.
but then again, thru the phone, i can hide certain emotions n its less messy.

this morning cycling was shiokenene seh. haha. despite being a panic cyclist, i managed to survive the cycle without hitting any vehicles. haha.
we cycled more than 20km today. 10 km plus of uphill and 10km plus of down slopes. weeee. best kan? thanks ani for the bell! millenium 2000 oii!

my week started so well (: i love pancakes!

this is jus some random thoughts. through my almost 20 yrs of life, i've always been telling myself, dont fret the small stuffs. i complain bt the littlest thing, but the truth is, i m not really bothered bt those things. i just feel like complaining thats y. (furthermore, i always have wonderful ppl who'll listen to my irrelevant complains,groans and moans..haha) so, it kinda irks me a little when ppl complain and truly feel that they are in the worst condition anyone can ever be in. they see challenges as the end of the world. on the other hand, i envy friends who have to go thru their hardest time repeatedly and yet feel good abt it. great ppl they are. they curse and swear and in the end, they grow strong and know they are still lucky and its not the worst life can offer to anyone. impressive. so strong.

hahhh! for life scientist like me (ahem!), marijuana proposes a great potential benefit.
we know that hisap-ing marijuana will make u high. well, it also serves as a pain reliever. in fact it works so much better than morphine, which is the typical medicinal narcotics.
surprisingly, unlike what all of us thought, it is safer than some medicine.
ahh. so countries shouldnt ban the use of medicinal marijuana. and we all should smoke marijuana cos it really has many advantages! haha. ok. the last line is not legally right..

or u life scientists out there, can start a research on the various components of marijuana that contribute to its useful benefits to neurology and pharmaceuticals.

anyway, i just came back from my physics tutorial and im glad i learnt something from it.
normally in the lecture, i'll talk and talk and talk and talk and laugh and talk to hoot woon and cindy. talk till we get bored. hah.
ok, so i learnt that the numbers that we use everyday are numbers with base 10. so basically, the base 10 numbers are : 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.
thats why after 9, we have to reuse the numbers to obtain 10, 11... . and of course there are numbers with base 2, 3, 4 and so on. as for numbers with base 2, they are called binary numbers. ring a bell?
so base 2 numbers are: 0, 1. thats the numbers computers read. 0 and 1. they are called 'bits' (binary digits). so if we convert base 10 numbers ( eg: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) to base 2, u'll get : 0, 1, 10,11,100,101. paham? hahha.
