and of course the highlight of today (friday) was nizar's surprise party. haha.
because i had to kill time, we actually went around bugis junction and bugis village. wahhh. tak boleh angks. cos of the unspeakable crowd ( plus the coconut) , mabuk sibuk jadinya.
well im glad he enjoyed today, so much so he was left speechless. aisehhh. 'speechless' lah seh.
many ppl turned up just now, except for abg khaiwul and shah. i miss shah. and when we took a grp photo and when i said 'aww but shah's not here', i kinda feel sad la. like sebak di hati..

so whats the big HUUUHAHH over salman rushdie's 'the satanic verses'?
i remember finding high and low for that book a few years ago.
later i found out, singapore already bans it. so responsive. haha.

so just now i read a report bt this in the m'sia straits time. and there was this tiny photo of a grp of pakistanis burning an effigy of that author. wahh. muka satu2 fierce-fierce, taknak kalah!
sometimes i feel, some people who call themselves muslims, can get so narrow-minded and over-reactive (imagine lithium exposed to air).
and i dare say, that out of every 10 ppl who took part in the protest, only 1 read the book, 3 read the 'blasphemous' parts only and the rest simply follow and react (violently).

i am a muslim myself. and yes, i get REALLY unhappy if anyone made fun of my God, my prophets or my religion and offend my faith. but seriously, a fatwa to kill the author? im SURE prophet Muhammad (pbuh) will be thankful for that. (pls do sense the satire here)
i am so disappointed. but not with the author who wrote disrespectful stuffs in his bk (thats between him and God), but with those "muslims" who choose to build their own cage. i mean, SO WHAT (step tyra banks) if one person doesnt have faith in Allah, and if he doesnt believe in what the Al-Quran says, and if 1000000 other ppl are reading his book approvingly? does that sanction us the rights to be satanic ourselves, by hurting others?

its time to really understand, appreciate and defend Islam the way a muslim should. its not thru violence and ridiculous outrage. puhleassee.
prophet Muhammad (pbuh) didnt initiate wars simply because the enemies refused to embrace Islam. there were many sensible reasons why muslims fought wars then.

instead of the absurd fatwa, why not u, whoever u are, who created the fatwa, stand up, speak smartly to the world that, 'salman rushdie is afterall a writer (an influential one i must say) and like other fictional writers, he spins stories out of his own creativity wheel, so he might be kinda rude.... u know what i mean, but really, no point la kaaann kerjakan dia.. so..i'll visit him tmr with kfc buddy meal and tell him nicely to apologise for his insensitivity.insyaAllah with our utmost sincerity he'll kindly take back his words (or book). we dont have to kill anyone.'

i need a counselee. yeah someone for me to counsel.
but i've decided that he or she has to be someone i dunno.
someone i never met ( its better if its a stranger, cos counselors dont cousel friends) and will never meet again ( for some reasons. haha)
so strangers out there, if u're interested please help me.
u see, u dont have to have major problems like heroine addiction or suicidal behaviours.
u just have to have a CONCERN. for instance, u have a problem with ur neighbour's laundry line tt goes pass ur front door and across the corridor. something like tt. ahha.

anyway, after the visit to the bank just now i feel the compulsion to really save up and make the best out of the money that i have (not much) or will have.
so adib! kita race ah. see who makes the most money after 10 or 15 yrs. haha.

and no, im not sounding mata duitan here (visualise me with dollar signs in my eyes. haha).
i just love the thought of some kind of financial certainty.
there will come a time ( after all these time of feeding off my dad's money) when i have to pay everything on my own.
and there might also come a time when i've started earning and then have the urge to spend the whole month's income on a chloe bag. (danger!)
so investment and whatever kinds of wealth management is good. yupps.


oh u know, its so bloody difficult to get paulo coelho books in the libraries now.
all ON LOAN. aiyaa. and all of 'A thousand splendid suns' are ON LOAN.
and u know i dont buy books. firstly, lack of money and secondly i only read bks once unless its a text book. haha.
seriously, why cant nlb has more bestselling books. i mean who actually bothers readin those sappy malay books like 'gaby kau cintaku' or 'kenangan semalam dalam hati ini'?
for some other mixed up reasons, i feel that nlb still has a long way to go.

i drove just now and i just love to tease my dad.
if other new/not so new drivers get irritated by their veteran driver dads or their paranoid mums, i dont.

its alr 2 am and im not sleeping yet cos im runnin high on teh haliah.
there are 2 possibilities for later.
1. i will either fall asleep while i tutor my tutees, or
2. i will fall asleep while watchin the movie.
but then agn, even if i had slept since 2am yesterday's morning, the 2 possibilities still persist.
